Re: and today i have mostly been...

25kph is where it comes from. I see the practical issues with allowing these gadgets to be used safely, but they do make sense as an alternative form of transport. What's needed is genuine segregation from both pedestrians and traditional motor vehicles. Let em share dedicated lanes with cyclists, p...

Re: New to forum and just bought a 406!

Hi Tom & welcome aboard. 8) My bro used to run his 1.9 on WVO without any modifications, at least in warm weather. The key thing is filtration. You need to be super fussy over filtering the stuff before it goes in the car's tank. Even then you should expect more frequent fuel filter changes and be p...

Late evening or early morning might help.

Looks like an old T55, which date from the mid 1950's

Re: my fuel guage goes up when i top up but never goes down

I don't think so. I believe the BSI receives the 'raw' reading from the tank sender unit and sends a 'smoothed' version to the clocks.
You might simply have a bad connection causing the BSI to 'see' intermittent maximum readings.
Maybe you could monitor it using a DVM with a max hold function?

Re: my fuel guage goes up when i top up but never goes down

The only ground connection is the return (-ve) terminal for the pump motor, which must be OK if the pump runs.
You could remove the pump/sender unit and manually move the float while observing the instantaneous level reading on PP2k or perhaps more easily watch the values while filling the tank.

Perfect for disposing of bodies, not so easy on the eye though - unless you like red, lots of red.

Hi Tony and welcome aboard. 8)
Your best bet might be a second hand compressor - there seem to be a few for £50 or less on Fleabay.

I'm not expecting it'll be easy getting him to use a ramp - on the last attempt, he walked past it & jumped into the boot. Apparently you're supposed to train them to walk along it when flat on the ground with copious gastronomic bribery. Personally, I think letting him use it to get up the o...
