Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

It was quite simple until I realized the fuel level indicator showed no fuel. So I had to get new pump removed again and I had tightened the union nut too tight
Bottom line, I got the pump removed again, got the indicator arm released, got the pump refitted and the engine running :cheesy:

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

Update: Against my believing it was indeed the in tank fuel pump. After replacing the pump the engine startet first time without bleeding the fuel system. I got a engine failure light in the dashboard though (related to fuel system), but I cleared the fault in PP2000 and got no problems now.

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

Yes, resistance. Meassuring the resistance across the inerty switch to almost 0 ohm means the switch is not cutting of the connection.

Tomorrow I will try to feed the pump manually with 12 volt and I bet it will turn.

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

Let us start with the inerty switch: it is only triggered by force/velocity, right? Not by sparks or other electrical problems. If there is no resistance across the switch, I assume it gives no problem at all. The pump is not turning or humming, as it gets too little voltage. It will not help hittin...

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

It might be when I closed the hood. Sine the resistance is low.

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

The resistance in the inertia switch is furthermore very low. So it dørs not seem to be the sinner.

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

I have pushed the intertia switch and achieved a click. I can not reproduce this click again - is that strange?

Furthermore, what is my DAM number? I have read somewhere to neglect a zero if the first digit is zero.

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

I got new information. I meassured the fuel pump relay and the result is: - Pin 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 15: 12 volt - Pin 4: 0,7 volt - Pin 10: 0,94 volt I assume the ECU is not faulty since the relay is fed with power? I assume the relay could be the troublemaker? I assume the anti theft thing is ...

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

Thank you very much. I am quite busy this weekend but I will let you know, when I have looked at it. I find it strange that they do recommend specific tires. I assume Michelin, Pirelli etc. pay Peugeot well :) No, but it a touch little fellow. It has been there for a long time. Of course it could be...

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

A specified fuse would be very helpful. Can you get the build code from these digits? Image

So if I should test the output voltage I should meassure between wire 120 and ground?

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

It sounds fair. Can the relay be troubleshot or do I need a replacement to find out?

Re: Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

Now I can say the fuel pump in the tank gets 2.7-2.8 volt.

Engine wont start - Help with global test PP2000

I got a problem with my 406 HDI from 1999. It will not start. When I try to find the fault in PP2000, I get this global test: Image

Can the problems with reading the ECU be because og a wrong DAM Number? Or is my ECU dead?

Ah, sorry. My bad :cheesy: It makes sense with that construction. Thank you so much!
