D8 Passenger's side inside door handle
Hi all! I'm currently looking for a passenger's side inside door handle from a D8 sedan or estate with automatic windows, or someone who is scrapping such a vehicle, so I can buy the part off it. Ebay hasn't been much of a help sadly, so I turn to you. Does anyone have an idea where I might find thi...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
I haven't yet, mainly because I didn't see a way how any bit of water would find its way in there. I suppose it might be worthwhile however...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Well, just reporting in after a while of trying several solutions. I came across some french sites discussing problems with the BSM (fuse box under the bonnet). I decided to swap it with my dad's sedan BSM to see if it got me anywhere. Again, nothing positive came out of it. I've also read up on err...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Just tried pulling the S/H plug. No difference aswell. I suppose I'll try the BBA forum. Other than that, I suppose I'll try talking my trial-and-error through with a mechanic, then see what I left out and if he's able to fix it.. Thanks for everything though, it at least helped me narrow down my se...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
150 is an estimate, I saw companies in the UK offering "bsi virginizing" for about 140 quid. And I like the stock look of the clarion, aftermarket radios have this ugly offset in the panel due to the stock tilted fitting. French electronics sure suck. By the way, thanks for the quick and detai...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Well, as I've previously stated I no longer have the cd changer as I've installed a connects2 USB interface. I have tried unplugging it to see if it has any effects, but no luck either. Regarding the battery procedure, I learned about it after the radio went to sh*t. So it's possible I corrupted the...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Both yield +12V. Not unexpected, since the radio can be turned on through the testing dialog on the PP2000. So far, so good.
I'll check the communication wires this weekend, but I've got my money on a corrupted BSI from here on...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
So much for not having to take half the dashboard apart... I suppose I'll check those aswell this weekend.
In the meantime, I still wonder what "BH10", "AH25B" and "M841" are...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Not familiar with any HiFi equipment being in the car. I've got a coupé pack edition, equipped with a JBL speakerset: 8 speakers and an extra amp in the trunk. How would I go about checking HiFi? Also, I have a headunit with tape player. There used to be a cd-changer connected to it, but i swapped i...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
DAM number is 9227U5. Display is producing Date/milage information (mpg, etc), exterior temperature, and time. It also displays info messages such as running low on fuel or switching the auto-headlights function. However, no radio related information, not even when the radio turns on through the PP2...

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Hi Guys, I found the yellow filter and bypassed it, no luck. I also looked up the reason it could have worked. It's indeed an RLC filter thats supposed to remove any interference from the power supply. If the filter fails at some point, the power supply to the radio is cut. My radio's lights are wor...

I know exactly what you're talking about, and it seems like it's the exact same problem I'm experiencing. I'll check the bastard out tomorrow.

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
I take it you mean programming the VIN into the unit through the PP2000? In that case, yes.

Re: Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
I don't believe I've tried that, neither am I familiar with any relay being there. Where would I be looking exactly?
And what does the relay do that could have it causing this problem?

Radio malfunctioning after battery disconnect
Hi all, I've come here concerning a strange issue I've encountered after doing some maintainance on my 406 coupé. Since I'm a Dutchie, I've already asked my fellow owners on the nation forum, however we've run out of ideas. It started around the holidays when my clutch went out. I figured I'd use my...
