Re: main reason why you chose a 406???

After owning a 106 then a 206 then a 205 then a C250td estate (boooooooo) then a 306 (which blew the HG) I knew Peugeot was my preferred mowta. My daily commute is an 80 mile round trip so it had to be comfy, a mile muncher and run on WVO. After fitting the Bosch pump from my deceased 306 I've now d...

Re: Diesel Diesel Diesel!

A DW10 HDi will run on properly converted Bio diesel with no problems. I have used it for many many thousands of miles without issue, and know of plenty of others too. To me the problem is when someone gets WVO mixes it with diesel and a splash of chemicals then sells it as Biodiesel. Proper Biodies...

Re: engine swap - 2.2 hdi into a 2.0 hdi rapier 406

I believe you can control the 2.2 using the 110hp ECU. You can also get 150+ HP out of the 2.0L fairly easily with a few mods.

Re: diesel pump

Fitting a Bosch pump will work but you need the injectors and lines too. Not a quick job by any means but an experienced mechanic should be able to do it, especially one who knows Peugeot diesel engines well.

You need that pump^^^^^ if its a 2.1 (xud11) . There is a multi plug that connects the pump to the ECU and if you take the top cover off the pump you 'may' be able to test the connections etc....

Re: Roadkill - your stories

One evening on the way home from work I sadly tried to dodge a duck with her ducklings but only managed to miss the ducklings so unfortunately I guess they died/were eaten anyway. A guy I know, knows a guy who lives next door to a bloke who actually managed to run over his pissed neighbour who had f...
