Re: 406 2.0 hdi lowering springs

Good stuff 8)

Sadly both my 406's suffered from old age and rust and are now long gone..

Sticking to French cars I moved on to 508's and currently have two pearl white 508SW HDi's

Would love to see a picture of your car when you're all done :)

Re: 406 2.0 hdi lowering springs

The kit I got was HR29788-1

I had no issues fitting it as far as I remember. Which part of the shock tower are you struggling with?

Re: 406 2.0 hdi lowering springs

I just lowered my 406 2.0 HDi Break with 35mm. springs from H&R. Very satisfied with the result. The car looks so much better and drives better too. This is with 18" Peugeot 308 wheels with 20mm. spacers and 225/40-18" tires on them making the car higher off the ground than on stock wheeels, but the...

How to calibrate throttle position sensor?

I'm thinking about buying another 406 HDi. The seller says that the EML is on after changing the TPS because it has to be calibrated.
Anyone have any idea how this can be done? Is it possible with PP, or is it cheaper to get a shop to do it?

Re: New Peugeot 406 in 2015??

I'd buy a brand new 406 in a heartbeat if they were still coming out of the factory.. definitely one of the best cars I've ever owned.. even though mine has done well over 300 000 Km. :)

I see.. thanks :)

So basicly it's just another word for "phase 1" and "phase 2" models then!?

Re: HDi 110 breakdown - fault codes P0403, P0510 and P0243

The double relay is in the ECU box in the engine bay. The ECU and double relay is mounted in a large black plastic box next to the wiper wash tank. The relay is of maroon color, is 15 pin and has a relay diagram on it which helped me testing the relay function outside of the car. The part number in ...

Re: HDi 110 breakdown - fault codes P0403, P0510 and P0243

I see..

I think in my case all the faults were generated by the failed relay as I understand that the relay is not only responsible for power to the fuel pump but is also controlling the EGR and wastegate solenoid.. or am I wrong?

Re: HDi 110 breakdown - fault codes P0403, P0510 and P0243

I hope too :) I feared there was some earthing problems or splits in the loom but hopefully it was just the relay. I could tell from the production date on the relay that it had never been changed before. The car has now run 320' Km or 198838 mi. What kind of fault codes did you get when there was a...

Re: HDi 110 breakdown - fault codes P0403, P0510 and P0243

Yes, the intertia switch seems ok. I've ohm'd it. Got the car running now supplying +12v to the F25 fuse terminal. The EGR and wastegate solenoid fault codes are there still but I guess that is a result of the faulty relay. Gonna try and get a new relay tomorrow. If that solves the problem I will be...

Re: HDi 110 breakdown - fault codes P0403, P0510 and P0243

I now have strong suspicion towards the dual relay in the ECU box. There is no power at the terminal of fuse F25, and from beeping with multimeter that terminal is connected to terminal 4 on the dual relay. Terminal 4 on the relay have no power when I turn on the ignition or crank the engine. I test...
