Re: PP2000 or Diagbox 9.85, 9.91, etc
I'm sorry, seem to have missed this post. I can only say what my (working) setup is. Maybe you can use the same setup, maybe you need to set up something different. My laptop is an HP running Windows 10 (22H2 to be more precise). I am running PP2000, not DiagBox. I installed it from the "CD2.ZIP" fi...

Re: Electric mirror broken wire
Here is the electric diagram I found in the SEDRE disk: Electrically Controlled Mirrors - Passenger Mirror.jpg The passenger side door mirror is part 6415. The connector between the door and the rest of the vehicle is IC71A and IC71B. This is the "installation" diagram that comes with it: Electrical...

Re: Wet carpet LHD
Here too, suffering the torrential rain... Interesting question, I had a look into my SEDRE system and it looks like the footwell connectors are indeed at the driver side, whether LHD or RHD: Footwell LHD.png Footwell RHD.png From my experience, the wet footwell is caused by water which flows along ...

Re: PO300 code
Your best option is to connect the PP2000 software which will show the details of the fault.
It could very well be that this fault needs an explicit clearing; I think I have had to do this once or twice (but I never had this P0300 fault though... random misfires seem not very applicable to HDI).

Re: DIY Belt Change
I don’t fancy a breaker bar resting on the subframe for undoing the crank pulley! Mine came off pretty easy with a air driven impact wrench. If you cannot borrow one, you might want to buy a battery-driven one, e.g. like this: https://blackfieldfarm.com/lidls-impact-wrench/ . I'm not sure if a batt...

Re: rear roll bar clamps
Just a thought, I believe an anti roll bar if not fitted to the vehicle is not an mot fail, is that correct? On https://www.gov.uk/guidance/mot-inspection-manual-for-private-passenger-and-light-commercial-vehicles/5-axles-wheels-tyres-and-suspension#section-5-3-3 : 5.3.3. Suspension arms, rods, str...

Re: Rear anti-roll bar bush sizes
Yes, I guess it should be a tight fit. Better that, than a loose (rattling) fit.

Re: Turbo dismount
In other words - there is variable geometry? I guess one of the 3 valves on pictures above is for turbocharger but not sure which one. I don't like to dig in such engine/vacuum/etc. topics but it is hard to find competent service here. Yes, your 2.2 HDI has a variable geometry turbo. It uses vacuum...

Re: Turbo dismount
On the HDI 2.0, the turbo is controlled by a vacuum-operated relief valve. It can be seen in this picture: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/VSQAAOSwtYVggwXI/s-l1600.jpg . On the HDI2.2, the turbo is controlled by the vacuum pressing the scoops further into the air chamber, see: https://i.ebayimg.com/i...

Re: Turbo dismount
Variable yes, geometry no. Technically it's a variable nozzle turbo designed to allow a controlled amount of the exhaust gasses to bypass the turbine blades. Are you sure? I think there are two systems: HDI 2.0: variable nozzle HDI 2.2: variable geometry See also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqX...

Re: Electric fan. How to test if working?
I agree with Doggy that the cooling system is very effective. I have a HDI 2.0 and have never noticed the fan kicking in due to engine temperature rising. The fan does kick in when switching on the aircon. Maybe you can do that to test? I have a D9 with a single electronic fan. I think you have a D8...
