Changed the oil as clearly the stuff had got well over temperature. The whole engine bay smells of serious overheating. Finger crossed its good for another 150K...

Many thanks looks like it is the plug 13/83 on the diagram. That would explain why there is no pipe to connect to. Now to find a piece of suitable hose and a bung, and then if the engine is properly cooked or not.

Hi All Overheated the engine today (left running and fans did not kick in). Engine got very hot. Dumped all the water. Hose from thermostat housing at back of engine has burst.
