Robbef another connector off the other car and still air bubbles and no starting so I got the filter housing off blanked 1 end connected it to an air compressor put in a bucket of water and put pressure at 4 bar not 1 bubble in sight so the housing seems to be fine after all that. Yeah the little 2 pin connector on the top of the housing there was a seal on it but when I went to take off the connector the seal disintegrated. Could air get into the housing threw this? And whats the easiest way to seal it again

After putting in new housing and still lots of bubbles toke it off to check again and the seal on the electronic connector disintegrated. Could this let air into housing and could someone tell me what does it do? Also easiest way to seal again.

I have checked the seal a couple of time now but still seems to be alot of air bubbles coming from the. Filter housing. None in the clear pipes before so I have ordered a new housing, just hope no damage is done till I get it. I thought it was odd that it still didn't run right with the bulb and hou...

Will do. I am wondering is there anyway to bleed the pump itself? Thecar will start by push just not on the key which made me think the pump could be airlocked?

Hi all, I have just changed the fuel and air filters on a recently bought 03 90bhp hdi siemens system. I then noticed alot of air bubbles in clear pipe after the filter but these seemed to have cleared but the car can no longer start itself, it has to be push started and is grunting alot more. Also mine had 3 torx bolts holding it on. I thought it was unusual as most have 2 as in the picture you showed.

Thanks, I thought thats whats it was. I toke it off and checked it. Started rusting under the seal at the edges. Waiting on a new seal now before I can fit another to see if that solves the problem. Hi peter, could you describe where the hp fuel reg. is please? or a picture if possible. Hi kelv,
Thanks for the reply, The clip is present and i tightened it and did a throttle reset, to no avail.
It is a hdi 90. As per a mechanics request I replaced the low pressure fuel pump in the tank but problem still exists.

I have replaced the fuel filter and also tested the air flow meter. Problem still exists. Can anyone help? What can or should i check next?

Hi all, I am new here but am wondering could anyone help me diagnose a problem. I have extremely intermittent revs and power. I can go to start the car and take off and will die from lack of power.
