I may sound daft or old school, but how about simply bypassing the computer box so you have all manual switches? I own a 1988 Peugeot 505 sedan. Everything is manual except for the power windows, the front ones do work but not the back windows. Simply go manual. That way you know you are in control,...

The pug above was rusted a bit under the belly but some good old panel beating work took care of that.. Meantime, lam trying to tweak the engine in order to get some go to match the show.

This is the same car.Its a 1988 pug 505 sedan SL version. Its got a 2 litre 8 valve carb fed motor. The carb is a sole double barrel sitting on top of a siamesed four port induction system. The ignition is a magneti marrelli distributor, factory fitted, not as a replacement. The gearbox is a 5 speed...

Yeah. Old cars, especially pugs are an easy fix. No wonder I won't part with my 505 sedan

Its the facelifted version post 2002. It still looks good. Personally, I would go for the 2.9 liter V6 .I haven't driven one, but I know its a gem of an engine. In the meantime, I will be running around in my venerable 505 sedan.
