It is a two man job! I got the belt and tried fitting it myself but had no idea what to do with the pulley and the tension mechanism. I tried the old fashioned method of using the wives tights, she took em' off first of course! Didn't work. Was a long shot anyway.

Thanks, I thought it might cause some major damage like overheating or something seizing up. I've only had the peugeout a year and this is the first belt to go so I thought I'd check first

How safe is it to drive without the belt? Would it be able to do a short distance journey (12 miles) or would this cause major damage to the engine. I have one ready to pickup tomorrow and need to get to it somehow
