Thanks all for your help with this and sorry for delay in replying - Internet has been on the blink. The garage did some hocus pocus (for free) and it kind of works now. They said it was something to do with driver's door. All doors and boot lock fine with the key on driver's side but key won't turn...

OK, so I got the bulb holders out and put it all back together without scratching anything. Result! Next challenge: how do I get the bulbs out of the holders??? Sorry, I know that must sound like a daft question. They're fastened in there pretty tightly and I don't want to start fiddling too much in...

So the beast has two trim issues - loose strip at the bottom of the driver's window and missing strip on the rear driver's side door. Does anyone know if these can be purchase cheaply and, if so, how to fit them?
