There is an ac button on the centre dash and that is it. between the rear demister and the air recirc button.

Peugeot 406 HDi Rapier Blower Heater not working - a fix - s
Hi, I posted previously about a fan heater not working and suspected the fan control module or motor fault. PeterN stayed with me for a long time on my previous post and I appreciate that but have an update. My fan control module has black receptors for plugs and every spare 406 HDi I looked at had ...

Re: Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
well, there are four wires coming out of the control module, and two going in. The two going in are power, black and red. Going out, there is one black and one red beside each other, two skinny wires either side. The pink skinny wire on the left of the black and red is the one with varying voltage w...

Re: Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
thanks. my blower only has fixed speeds. I was asking if there was a need to consider a transistor being faulty in the recessed control module, (it may not have one), before I change the blower motor itself which you have stated has two transistors attached/inside. I have checked the recessed contro...

Re: Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
sorry one more query,
is there a transistor in the footwell control module also or is it basically just a resistor?
want to make sure it is definitely not the footwell control module before i get the replacement fan
Thanks
Barry

Re: Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
thanks.
So blower from scrappy will fix it?
and is the following statement correct;
with the power transistors failed the fan will run when the control module is bypassed
thanks

Re: Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
thanks. I think that is what I should be looking at. what does s/c or o/c mean? In summary, the control module may be fine and the motor runs when control module bypassed but with the power transistors gone she will not run when connected to the control module. Is this correct? Can these be repaired...

Re: Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
Thanks When you say swapping the panel, do you mean changing the fan control module in the floor to the right of the motor? I tested the fan button on the centre panel. When I had the original control module plugged in, i tested the voltage increasing on a pink wire coming from control module as the...

Blower Heater 406 HDI 110 Rapier
Hi, My blow heater is not working and I have jumped the black and red wires on the two plugs that go into the fan control module and the fan works when the car starts. So I have power and the motor is fine. But left like that it stays on. So main suspect would be the fan control module? OR is there ...

Drive Belt 406 HDI 2002
Hi, I have a 406 hdi with a broken drive belt. It came off shredded and wrapped around one pulley. The belt that came off was a 6pk1750. (according to the markings on the belt) I got a 6pk1740 which I believe is the right one for a car with the sanden ac unit. When I try to put the belt on its too l...
