Hi there. I guess you mean the engine has cooked and it is destroyed (?) The problem with standard oil pressure switches is they come on at much too low a pressure, so when the warning light illuminates it's probably too late. Or maybe the sensor is broken, or the light is (after all the car is 19 ...

Yes unfortunately when the Oil Warning Light comes on it's very often too late and the engine may have suffered excess wear and heat in the areas furthest away from the oil pump. It is sometimes possible for the engine to continue running with new oil but it may well be noisy and under-powered due ...

Hello . I have a peugeot 406 1.8 16v 1996 . I was running on highway with 120km/h and the engine has made a big noise . I stop direclty the car and i see a very little oil on the road . I see the level of oil was empty ... i take the car to mechanic and he told that the cylinder engine is burning bc...
