the 98 v6 sounds like its been modified even though its completely standard. put your foot down in 2nd in the wet and you'd end up on the limiter in seconds, do that in the mk2 v6 with the TC off and you just accelerate, it's bollocks really. never mind eh, more power at the top end! I went better safe than sorry to be honest.

It certainly seems like a bargain - though I was under the impression that the rollers/tensioners needed replacing at the same time, so said the parts manager at Peugeot.

Are you sure it's not the oil pressure gauge? I've the same car (but a 98) and there's no oil temp gauge...

They claimed to have only used genuine Pug parts, so would my nearest dealer be the place to phone up and find out? yes phone them up and ask for a cambelt kit and water pump for your car, they will ask reg etc and be able to inform you. What is a tensioner anyroad? Is it like a pulley? He said 'it's got rollers, not like a normal engine' or summat.
