This has been on here before, and it pointed to the gearbox mounting. Also check the selector linkages for wear. The puggy boxes are pretty tough, I doubt very much that the gears are worn here. its funny you should mention the fact that the gearbox mounting maybe worn because when i was driving it...

its a 1.9 td on a 1997 and all i want is for it to pull my eyes out and hear that turbo hissssss.

want more power

My dt is ok but the turbo does not seem to pull as much as i would like is there a problem and what can i do to give it more pulling power. This is my first pug 406 dt so im a little bit new. :lol:

gearbox noise

Ive just bought a 406 dt cheap, and it drives spot on the only thing wrong is that it crunches when you put it into third this does not happen in any other gear, can anyone help. :cry:
