Re: JBL system
I have a coupe - of course I have heard of the mod, but not actually heard it.Valandil wrote: It might also work quite well with the nicomod (if you've heard of it)
I swapped my cassette version for the CD version, which apparently is not as good sonically.

Re: MP3 player connection
Very easy to remove.
Grab the universal radio pins and straighten them out a bit - there is only one hole on each side.
Pins in, wiggle, pull, wiggle, pull and out it comes

Another option for the sat nav screen is drop in a B type display and ditch the sat nav.
If you are having disk read errors then you will probably need to strip and clean the drive. I treated mine to that, plus a recalibration of the laser to make it work.

Obviously not a sat nav unit, but the principle is the same

Re: Speeding alert
There is also an option in pp2000 for the windows to go up on deadlocking, which would be very useful, but it never works. Yeah I activated that one too, thinking it would be a smart one to have, but need the correct ecu for the total closure to work. :( Ive never heard of anyone getting it to work...

Did this for a member of the coupe club - use PP2000 to go into confiruration and set the control options to match your car (wired or multiplex).

I found that cleaning the lens and adjusting the bias current was needed on mine.
Cleaned lens and disk was hit and miss, after I adjusted the bias current the drive is solid

Another option is if you are close enough to someone with a remote, you could ask nicely and they could set the time and date for you.

Re: Speak to me about PP2000 and Lexia stuff
It is very simple really. Clones are clones and use a cloned serial number. Each version of PP2000, lexia, diagbox et all updates the clone interface with new internal software so each clone is (generally) as good as that version of the diagnostic software. At some stage it was noticed that there we...
