Earth Mod on MAF

Is it safe to do the earth mod on Peugeot 406 HDI?
My car gives antipollution fault and person who scanned the car said it is due to throttle sensor harness. Two times EML came and cleared the fault from the scanner, but not sure it'll come again.

Re: Turbo and EGR solenoid valves

Sorry, only just noticed you replied... The turbo solenoid can be swapped with one from a scrap car, or you can swap the blue plug one over with the turbo one, just for a diagnosis to see if it works. Firstly, you need to reconnect the turbo solenoid with the correct pipes, so you need to pu...

Re: 406 HDI top engine rubber (Support) mount

I thought they were just rubber. I have changed that mount on mine a long time ago, don't remember it being difficult. Usually if you are getting 'overrun backlash', that is you take your foot off it goes CLONK you pick up the power it goes CLONK, usually that's the dogbone. If you are getting nois...

Re: 406 HDI top engine rubber (Support) mount

I wouldn't think a small bit of damage to the lip of the mount will make it fail, my opinion only. Was the mount loose? Did it fix the 'clunk'? When are you getting this noise? my mechanic said mount was loose and he was able to tighten more. and he said there were no signs on notches that previous...

Re: Turbo and EGR solenoid valves

Hi GingerMagic Thanks for the reply. If the turbo solenoid is faulty what would be the appropriate solution? waste gate you mean the air doser? The feed in the middle red circle I have drawn is just disconnected from the feed in the top red circle and the feed is open. it is not connected to anywher...
