Re: Electrical diagram - RHY
Have a look under the carpet on the driver's (rhs) front. There are large connector plugs under there that can cause all sorts of electrical issues if they become wet and corrode. It unfortunately is very common on the 406. I have had to correct this on most of the many 406's I have owned over 20 y...

Re: P1198 error code - Peugeot 406 HDi
Hi guys, As I wasn't able to find what's wrong with the car, I replace the engine (total cost around 300$) but using the old egr, injectors, diesel pump, etc.... and now the car is working just fine, it starts in no time even at -20 degrees.... So in the end I guess it was something internally in th...

Re: Fuse box diagram
You might not have a cd changer but you might have the cable, one end plugged into the radio (mux) the other lying in a puddle... Searching your posts the RPO seems to be 9380, so the car is full-mux. The climate panel and the heated rear screen are run off the BSI, fuses F & C (allegedly  )....

Re: Fuse box diagram
Hi and thanks for your answers, but unfortunately it's not caused by the wires under the carpet because I checked them... apparently seems to be something with the fuse box because the mecanic said that he only worked under the hood, nothing inside the car. And neither the CD changer is not applica...

Fuse box diagram
Hi guys, Do you know if there is a fuse unde the hood ( the box between battery and acceleration module ) responsible for the climate display and info display(consumption, range, etc) ? I'm asking because those 2 displays are turning on just by opening any door of the car, and they are turning off a...

Re: P1198 error code - Peugeot 406 HDi
Hi guys and thank you all for your responses, I also have on open topic since last year with an poor cold start.... one of my suspicions were some air bubles comming from the diesel filter housing, so, to exclude this I fitted an BMW 530d fuel filter wich is encapsulated ( https://encrypted-tbn0.gst...

P1198 error code - Peugeot 406 HDi
Hi guys, In the last 2 moths one thing is happening pretty often.... when I press the acceleration pedal little harder, the car tends to stop for 1-2 seconds, then check engine light appears on the board and the car won't accelerate more than 2500 rpm in any speed gear. On the tester is show the fol...

Re: Trip Computer and Outside temperature not displayed
It's on the driver's side, whichever that is. So yes, on your left-hooker it's on the left. I can't honestly remember what it involves but you should be able to get to it without removing the carpet, you'll probably have to remove trim to lift that side of the carpet though. Whether you'll end up l...

Re: Trip Computer and Outside temperature not displayed
Could make sense, since this issue came up after a hard raining period during summer  Do I have to remove the whole floor carpet ( the one with yellow sponge under ) in order to reach at the connections? One more thing, since my car is with the steering wheel on the left side, these connections...

Re: Display light doesn't turn off
Is your car a sedan? Sometimes water gets into the CD Changer wiring in the boot, and the car electrics go funny.... Even if you have no CD Changer, the empty connector could be wet... Thank you! Meanwhile, car turned back to the normal behavior without me doing anything... I guess she's having jok...

Display light doesn't turn off
Hi guys, I just got back at my car after 1 week of no using and when I got into the car, the display light was on , like how it is when the headlights are turned on ( not maximum intensity), and no outdoor temperature information, and also, I can't switch to the real time consumption and range or an...
