Sits too high at the back?
Whenever I step back and look at my pug (V6 estate) I always think it's let down by being so arse-high. It's like it needs lowering at the back by about an inch just to level it out?? :? Anyone else think this? I do eventually eventually want to get some lowering springs (about 30mm). Would these le...

Re: Bollocks! Bonnet Polish Gone Wrong
Well I hope I can get a good result! I'll be disappointed if it ends up worse than when I started! I will be polishing the badge and clear coating it today (I will post an update). It could be worse - I just saw some Fiat (the one that looks like a jelly mould?) in the supermarket car park, painted ...

Re: Bollocks! Bonnet Polish Gone Wrong
It may have had a front end respray as I remember something in the history about a new front wing. Possibly had a minor bump or something in the past? Either way, I've bought a couple of Diablo red from Halfrauds and started respraying it in the garage. 1 can = 1 coat  I'm just hoping the col...

Bollocks! Bonnet Polish Gone Wrong
As we all know, red cars fade horribly with lacquer peeling issues etc. Other than the roof of mine and one of the door handles (which got replaced) there isn't too much lacquer peel at all. So I thought I would attempt to polish some of that pearlescent redness back into it. Cleaned the bonnet and ...

Re: Potential Key Disaster!
No I don't have a spare  It's visibly worn and to be honest I'm surprised it works in the ignition! I need a new key cut from the key code and not just copying my current key as it would only be replicating a worn key. So I guess dealer it is for that  Has anyone had this done? how much r...

Re: Estate Boot Badge Refurbishment
Yes that's always good fun, the looks on their facesIt's a definite feeling of smugness when an old inconspicuous Peugeot estate surprises the boy racers
This enamel is taking ages to dry!

Re: Estate Boot Badge Refurbishment
It's a GLX spec which justifies the badge. I just like outrunning the Boy racers in their Corsa's from the lights in an old Pug!

Re: Estate Boot Badge Refurbishment
Thanks! Once all the lacquer and paint had been scraped off, there was a tiny indentation where the lion bit is, I simply followed that very carefully, although I screwed it up a little in a couple of places! hopefully I can sort those minor issues out before the lacquer goes on. I'm planning on goi...

Estate Boot Badge Refurbishment
I am aware there is another post about refurbishing the estate's rear lion badge but unfortunately that one went dead a long time ago. So here I am am trying to relight the fire regarding the rear badge. I don't really want to just stick on a 307(I think) badge on it and be done with it because I li...

Potential Key Disaster!
So I bought my '98 Diablo red V6 estate about six months ago now and it's been great! hopefully soon it'll be getting some well deserved "sprucing up" :cheesy: Anyway, The car has 120k miles on it now which is most visible on the key. It came with one key, the central locking button has electrical t...

Re: Estate Badge Removal & Possible Refurb
Yes I suppose it is quite a resurrection!
I've had a look on and off online for a replacement boot badge but they seem far and few between
I did find this one at a scrap yard which had 3 406's in.
Compared to the badge on my car this one looks mint!

Re: WANTED: Petrol 406 Estate
Well, I got it. I paid a little more than I'd have liked (£1150) but it might not have been too overpriced? So it's done 119.5k miles and the engine pulls really strong! overtakes everything  :cheesy: The interior has cleaned up quite nicely, just the door card fabric coming away from the panel...
