Re: 405 vs 406 ride quality
My mum had a 405 when I was little and I also remember it was softer than the 406 I have now (but maybe not quite accurate, being that I'm only about 10 years old when we use the 405). But some times ago, she commented that my 406 is not as comfortable as her old 405, not sure how accurate her comme...

Re: Where can I buy a dipstick?
I'm not sure how resistant the filament is as I couldn't imagine any dissolved plastic in oil is a good thing. So if you do decide to 3D print the dipstick extension make sure that it could withstand hot oil for prolonged period of time. The eBay listing also mentioned the max and min length from ha...

Re: Where can I buy a dipstick?
Actually it seems the top listing are correct for your engine. If you take a look at the attached part diagram, the 2.1 engine has a dipstick with part number 1174 31, while the top listing also shows part number of 1174 31. 2.1 part diagram.jpg Also I wouldn't trust too much about eBay compatibilit...

Re: Radiator fan & A/C not working~any help appreciated
I'm not familiar with HDI engine and it's cooling system, does it have resistor and/or relay beside the radiator fan?
Over here if a Peugeot has radiator fan problem most of the time it was caused by either bad relay or resistor.

Re: Air bag fault / warning
Well, it seems my first post is the correct one. Airbag module connect to BSI under the steering column.

Re: Air bag fault / warning
Sorry since I can't edit my post again, it seems A11-I in that diagram refers to the module in the engine bay (I think it's called BM34? I'm not too familiar with full mux system) instead of BSI under the steering column.

Thanks for the offer frog, Re - the vist you, the car's not legal due to the MOT expiring last December 2019  I can't get it through an MOT with this airbag problem. Re: Throttle Position Sensor location
It's located just opposite of the throttle cable pulley thing (I don't know what it's called), at the bottom of throttle body.

Re: Vibration Under Braking
It seems pretty normal... the reason I ask about tires is because I'm thinking that probably overly soft sidewall makes the tire unstable during braking. Or over inflated tires makes it bouncing around during braking because of reduced contact patch.

Re: Vibration Under Braking
Since you have replaced pretty much everything, I would like to focus on the tire. What tire make, model, and size do you use? How much air pressure is in all tires?

Re: Engine type
PP2000 usually refer to a combination of tool and software which is used to communicate with various systems within Peugeot vehicles. Usually you can buy them from aliexpress. But in my opinion I wouldn't buy it unless you are pretty good with computer in general as the installation is prone to fail...

Re: A/C fan stops working for short time
Is it only happening in Auto? What happened if you manually set the fan speed from the start?
Regarding the Valeo 509355 you mentioned, I think it exists in D8 but not D9 (I'm not sure).
