Sorry for the delay replying!
I got a new (used) regulator/motor, plugged that in and that goes up, but not down.
I've only just seem gingermagic's reply about the wiring so will check that next!

So, I just replaced the passenger side switch and the same thing happens.
is there an easy(ish) way to test the motor or Drivers side switch?

I'll grab a switch off of eBay and see what happens, they're not too expensive
