D8 V6 clutch release bearing - how to - special tool?
Hi everyone I'm hoping this will be seen by someone who has tackled a V6 clutch change. I've just fitted a new clutch to my D8, but need some 'how to' know-how about how to engage the clutch release bearing into the clutch cover. I have tried using a ratchet strap and a large piece of wood for lever...

Re: V6 clutch know how needed
Thanks Steve. Mk 4 Cortina - now that takes me back, changing clutches in those was a total doddle compared to more modern stuff. I think with the Pug and its 'pulling' clutch, there'll be a method to locate and lock the release bearing into the clutch cover. It may be a case of exerting some force ...

V6 clutch know how needed
Please can anyone share their experience on a V6 clutch change? Specifically, I need to know how to engage the release bearing in the clutch cover when the gearbox is refitted to the engine?
I'd be grateful for any replies. Thank you
With best regards

Re: D8 V6 brake servo removal know how
Thanks fellas. The conversion D8 to D9 clutch hydraulics.... is a very big job! It entails replacement of the pedal box assembly (hence the need to move the brake servo), the brake master cylinder, both clutch master and slave cylinders with the connecting pipework. It also entails engine removal (I...

D8 V6 brake servo removal know how
I need to remove my D8 V6 brake servo, or at least move it forward to allow access for the pedal box to be replaced (I'm doing a D8 to D9 clutch hydraulics conversion). I'm hoping that somebody will be able to offer some know how. So far, I have the glovebox out which exposes the blower motor - that...

Re: Where to find schedule of torque wrench settings...?
Hi Thanks for coming back - if you're able to share the French workshop manual that would be marvellous, thank you. I need engine torque settings for all the cambelt stuff, engine mountings and clutch. Then shortly, I will need the torque settings for driveshafts, suspension arms, drop links, brake ...

Where to find schedule of torque wrench settings...?
Guys, I've been looking on the internet for a schedule of torque wrench settings for my 1999 D8 V6 - nothing. I sent a politely worded request to 3 x local Peugeot dealers asking whether they could provide the details - one said they didn't have the information (really...?) and the other two said pr...

D8 V6 breather pipe on front cylinder head
Guys, can anyone shed some light on how to disconnect the breather pipe that fits at the right end (as you look from the front of the car) of the front cylinder of the V6 engine? My camshaft cover housing has a slight oil leak and this breather pipe must be disconnected to get the cover off It's mad...
