thanks guys, i'll have a look over the weekend. Just one other thing i've spotted, the mileage and trip computer stop counting up when the speedo has stopped working.
Dont know if this might help identifying the problem...

Re: Random speedometer problem.
I have had a look at the clocks. I cant see anything that looks like it either shouldnt be there or looks broken.
Does anyone have any other ideas what this could be? Is it going to be that i'll have to change the clocks? If i do this how easy is it to get the mileage re-set?

The speedo on my d9 is suffering with an intermittent fault. Sometimes when driving the speed clock just stops working, it drops to 0 then after a few minutes starts to read the speed as normal again. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when it stops, it does it at all speeds and it doesn't seem...

Re: Low Fuel Warning Lamp - Conservative?
Mine never comes on at all but that's because the bulb has gone. The car 'says' fuel level low and I'll usually drive another 50 miles before filling up. The warning message comes on long before the light (when it works). Most it's ever taken for me to fill up was 68 litres.

The low fuel warning comes on the lcd screen in the centre console, i've never had the light on the dash switch on! At the moment the needle is in the middle of the red m...

Re: Wanted - D9 Fabric Drivers Seat
That'd be great,
Please keep me informed on them. The fact that they are in Aberdeen isn't a problem actually. Strangely my brother is a courier and has a regular drop in Aberdeen every other week!
Thanks very much

Re: Bonnet wont open
Yes,
I had this, it turned out that the catch wasn't moving enough to release the bonnet, a good clean with WD40 and then some grease on the mechanism and its been fine since. I was in a panic at first but with a few tries i got it to open.

Wanted - D9 Fabric Drivers Seat
Hi,
I'm after a fabric manual adjusting drivers side seat from a D9 LX.
If you PM me i can send you a photo of the pattern / colour to make sure they are the same. Closer to Sheffield the better but can collect from further a field if the seat is in good condition.

Re: Help Please.... Mot Failure
thanks for all the responses guys,
I have got it fixed, the top bearings freed up after some perswasion with wd40 and me driving down a very bumpy road several times and pressing up and down on the front of the car, other jobs were a piece of cake.
Car through the MOT now, so all is good.
