Re: Cigarette Lighter fuse positions?
when the fuse had blown for the cig lighter on mine it was pretty easy to spot which one was blown... It was really useful as I haven't got a hand book so I hadn't a clue which number it was.

Re: Ignition Fault = No Heater...
Hi,
Used the thick orange wire from the ignition, ran a fused cable behind the centre console and then connected to the red wire that goes in to the heater control unit (not the one that goes to the blower fan).
So far so good. Will eventually (when its warm and light!) sort it out properly!

Re: Ignition Fault = No Heater...
Right, progress report! I've run a feed from one of the other live feeds from the ignition to the heater blower wiring loom, fused as well. Been running the car today and so far so good, blower is working fine. Checked the wiring that i've put in, it's not getting hot or even warm for that matter. O...

Ignition Fault = No Heater...
Hi.
After looking at other threads on here and trying several things I have narrowed down a fault with my heater to the ignition switch. What is the quickest (and cheapest) way to repair this. Can I just run a live (fused) from the battery to the power cable at the heater control unit?

Re: Core plugs...Or Head gasket!!??
I had the core plugs go during the Arctic weather in November. The coolant basically poured out, it wasn't a slow leak at all. It emptied the coolant in a couple of minutes or so.

Re: Brake light problem....
Sorted the brake light problem. It was a fault with the bulb holder. A bit of bending the steel contacts and squashing some contacts back together with the pliers did the trick!
Thanks for the help again guys.

Re: Phillips Extreme Power H7 bulbs fitted
I've used the Phillips xtreme bulbs, but after a recent blown bulb I've bought some Osram Nightbreaker bulbs, really good as bright if not brighter than the Phillips and half the price.

Re: Brake light problem....
I'm still struggling with this, can anyone tell me, are all the brake lights on the same fuse? Just want to make sure that I've not missed anything.
Car failed the MOT, on this but a few other things as well. Need to get it sorted out ASAP!
Thanks
Mike

Re: Brake light problem....
It could be that is gotten wet, the rear tail light was smashed in an accident (a snow plough skidded and crashed in to the car!) It was a few weeks before the insurance company got it sorted out.
I'll have a look again in a bit, its too cold out at the minute!

Re: Which screen wash do you use
I got some from my local motor spares, cant remember the name but it said it was for arctic conditions! It was too, used a 50:50 mix and it hasnt frozen up once, it actually works for de-icing the screen too. It was £6.99 for a 5ltr bottle. I'll try to find it out and post the name of it.
