Re: Pressure under oil filler cap

Put in the usual 4 1/2 litres oil and do varied journeys. Car used daily to work 12 miles each way. If take the breather off, do I need to drain oil from sump first?

Pressure under oil filler cap

Hi Got a 2000 HDI 90 Rapier. 168K miles. Had it 10 years. Great car. Completed an oil and filter change and checked for leaks etc next day after a half hour run. Undid the oil filler cap and noticed a bit of blue smoke coming out under quite a bit of pressure. Never used to have any pressure when i'...

Hi
i recently did my fuel filter exactly as per your sequence and all ok. Your problem must be elsewhere.

Cold feet

X reg Rapier HDi 90. Heater temp works ok so gets up to temp fine but i can't seem to get actual heat to foot area. Only way is to set control to feet only, close all face vents and whack fan upto Maximum. Then I get a modest amount coming through. Can a vent be blocked or a flap locked up or someth...

Re: Fuel filler cap light

Cap works so just going to leave it with the light on. Thanks for replies.

Love that posh multifunction display warning message though. Should be standard.

Re: Fuel filler cap light

I have a 2000 HDi 90 Rapier. Found out about the hook on the flap when reading manual afterwards trying to suss out the dash light! I'd never noticed it before.
Can't see nothing electrical around the cap. Think i'll just live with the light on.

Fuel filler cap light

Recently left filler cap at garage after fill up. Only noticed the next day that dashboard warning light on (top left end of dash and hidden by steering wheel). Found a replacement cap on ebay. It fits perfectly but dash light remains on. Any ideas why light still on, or how i can turn it off?? jim

Re: diesel injection pump ....on its way out?

''its only the estate you need to remove the tank and exhaust to get to it, it just fits through the top on the saloon'' You don't need to drop the tank+exhaust to get to the lift pump on Estates. Just replaced mine today. You get at it from under the back seat, from inside the car. Bloody tight fit...

HDi Fuel cap lost.

Did the silly thing and forgot to put cap on after fill up. Any idea who stocks a spare for 406 Hdi Estate Rapier?

Tried ebay but no luck.
