hi i know this is the wrong site to post this but its kinda 406 related in as much as if i hadn't bought a 406, i would not have run down the battery on my 405 to the point that i have lost the radio code i actually have the code but the radio stubbornly sits with security on the display after 12 ho...

having just fitted a towbar i can safely say that its gonna b a new back box there are 2 brackets on the rear box on a steel band the only part of the box thahas rusted on mine
could be just the mounting rubbers though???

405 OR 406 - peugeot fan but a 406 newby

I currently have a 405 and a 406 The 405 is like s**t off a shovel- put it in 5th and there it stays- even on steep or drawn out hills. It has no mot, a juddering clutch and a knocking noise on the front nearside suspension started off only when changing direction [forward/reverse or voce versa] now...

thanks a lot
but after persisting all week, i finally found the grommet in the bulkhead directly behind the cockpit fuse box i then ran under the plastic sill trim on the drivers side [uk] then followed the trim up over rear wheelarch into the grey trim over the satnav cd - job done

first time this happened to me i thought i had an oil leak!!

its if you park on an incline or the camber of the road is steep

oil runs away from the sensor

same way the fuel guage misreads if you park on a steep hill

perhaps i'm not making myself clear........ the issue is trying to get a cable through the bulkhead - i can't seem to find a grommet to use as the only thing i can find - high up- is a small cable [6mm?] on the far left [looking into the engine bay] high up and just before the drivers side wing. its to power the electrics in a caravan - 8amps for the fridge, 10 amps for an inverter :- 20 amps is a bit too close methinks
has anyone tried running a cable UNDER the car protected in an old hosepipe perhaps?
