Re: Faulty heater fan

My heater fan used to work fine (D9 GLX), but recently it is either on full (no matter what speed you set it to) or off. Sounds like a similar problem. Is there any easy way to check whether it's the fan or the control panel that's at fault?

Turns out it was some kind of low pressure sensor for the turbo which turned the turbo off. Fault was remedied by turning the car off and on again which I did straight away the first tome hence didn't notice the lack of power, but the next time the light came on I realised the turbo had stopped work...

Just come back from having mine done at kwikfit, and it's gone from being mildly effective to really really cold.

Afraid not, I've already tried switching them, and cleaning them, and using a lens cleaning cd in it (both ways up).

My cd changer doesn't seem to like playing any cds. It recognises which slots have discs in them but it won't play anything be it copied or original.

Doesn't matter too much though as I'll be pulling it out next week once I've installed my new alpine head unit and ipod interface :)

Kwikfit are currently advertising aircon recharge for £44.95 which seems about the same as most mobile places I've found, but cheaper than the stealers which quoted £69!

That's what I figured about the CD changer wires, but wasn't so sure about the direct onto the battery bit. I had ordered an appropriate wiring kit with the sub/amp package.

Thanks

A guide I read recently sad that you should connect the amp power cables straight to the battery when fitting a sub. Is this true or is there somewhere better to attatch it? My new headunit will not work with the fitted cd changer either, so I was thinking I could probably use the wires that are alr...

Well, I've got the cd player behind the left panel in the boot but just a plastic storage tray in the right hand side, so no amp for me then.

I take it that it's just the exec that has this amp as I can't see one in my car (99 GLX Hdi estate) but the manual is a bit cryptic about it.

I think I am learning to like it, although I will get some quick on and off seat covers for sitting on the seats when I'm wearing wet kayaking kit.
