Today is a sad day... a very sad day indeed... I was persuaded last night by my cousin to sell him my beloved, first ever grown up car... my precious 406 *sobs* It's rubbish when your family know about your fianacial situations and use it against you to purchase cars off you! So goodbye 406, I will ...

Offset

Sorry to bother you guys again! Im looking to buy some alloys for my 406, I found this list of cars which apparently share the same offset as the 406? Does this mean I can take the alloys from any of these cars and put them straight onto my 6? (dependant on rim size and tyre size). Make Model Year F...

Re: Can you help value a collegues' MR2 Turbo

FINALLY!!! Something I can help on! (well my cousin). He's a big Jap car fanatic so he knows his stuff, also he's imparted alot of wisdom to me over the years. Anyway, he says he's not heard of Toyota releasing a Turbo MR2 in that year and for your colleague to find out whether it is a turbo (GTS) o...

Re: Speeding Ticket?

Completely true... but at least you will have a copy of the photo in your hand just in case the cops try and stitch you up? You can say you've seen the picture and you know it wasnt you. No offence to the police.

Re: Speeding Ticket?

Depends whether the camera was front facing or rear facing, if it's front facing and there's nothing between the camera and car then they tend to be crystal clear, my mum got caught by a front facing camera and a rear facing. Rear facing is the same quality but obviously because it's behind you it o...

Re: Insurance!

I think the database that insurance companies are relatively similar... I used to work in Life Insurance and when quoting people, gave them what suited them best rather than the cheapest quote. Our database was used by 90% of insurers so if someone said they got quoted X amount, we would know if it ...

Re: Insurance!

Yep, tried Confused, Churchill, Direct Line, Adrian Flux and loads more. I JUST got a quote back from a broker who pointed me towards Endsleigh who quoted me £1425 but it comes with legal cover and 90 days European cover and all the rest.

All I want is insurance with Legal Cover... :frown:

Re: We all love 406's but what do you hate about them?

Insurance - seperate thread. Parking - it's too big! It's the first 'grown up' car I've ever driven, I cant p...
