Vehicle extensively damaged and insurer has decided not to repair. May be repaired and put back on the road. Has to pass an inspection costing £36 (2007 price) to be re-registered as damaged repaired.

i stuck some of that draught proofing strip on the brackets CJ-that stopped my rattle.

I have had 2 405's both done in excess of 400,000 1 died from rear suspension failure but parts of it live on in the 'workhorse' estate i use for work daily.

I use Caterpillar oil-if it can stand temperatures in excess of 185 degrees for 24 hr running 7days a week in those beasties it will do for me.

plus the price is right :wink:

have you thought about removing the rear light lenses & using a speader bar roped to another vehicles tow bar then 'rocking' the dent out?

i pulled rear shunt dent out of an old 405 with a mini-digger!!

I think women tend to go for the hatch back design on the ease at which they can load & unload shopping/buggy/dog whilst still hanging onto the ankle biters that are intent on escape. 'big cars' tend to have deep boots that mean they are distracted whilst loading allowing the escape of offspring/dog...
