my haynes manual says these are LED's & cant be replaced? Sounds unlikely that you would have to buy a new instrument panel just cos some bulbs blow? :frown:

they're simple twist style ones mate. If you go to Halfrauds they'll destroy your wallet... best bet is to go to a scrappy like I did yesterday :cheesy: Not according to haynes! they tell me the bulbs are soldered in LED's. I was also told by someone here that the rear high level brake lamp was not...

Ive just fitted (about 15 mins) a tuning box/chip kit from TDI tuning.co.uk which I bought brand new off eBay. It has transformed my Hdi90! Far better response & acceleration. too soon to tell about the fuel consumpion but i can now live with the car! I was thinking Id made a serious mistake when I ...

whats all this about a vice & the filter being a pain to change?
just stick a spanner on the hex at the top, turn a few degrees & hey presto! its off. Stick a new filter in, replace lid, pipes & off you go!

BSI?

Ive now traced my a/c fayult to the "BSI" which is yet another ecu under the dash. Im wondering if anyone can give me wiring diagrams of this unit? I intend to open it up & see if I can determine wich relay has burnt out & then replace it.

update

changed mine in situ this morning- easy out, pig to get back in!
Annoyingly the buzzing/vibration was still there. Finally traced it to the front exhaust mountings-- gave them a wee bend & all quiet!
just the a/c control unit to find now & I can start enjoying my car!

try linking out the low pressure and high pressure switches, one of those could be faulty Tried that too! we are convinced the fault must be at the "a/c control unit" where ever that is? I reckon there must be a fuse on this unit, at least I would HOPE there is a fuse on this to protect it in case ...

Be careful fella because the 406 is famous for condenser failure at 7 years old and the lack of as pressure will 'hold off' the compresssor to protect it from wear. The pressure switch is to the left of the condenser and is part of the receiver/drier. My money is on low/no gas. definitely an electr...

mine has gone too! I have the new one (genuine) & am going to attempt it in situ!
Is this likely to be the cause of an engine vibration I am getting at no particular speed or gear?
