Itsa 406 2.0 GLX on a V plate. body is mint! just come back from a body shop ( insurance, some one backed into me ) air bag light is blinking but thats just the plug under the seat! Its eating oil i think but i cant see if its leaking or burning! Handbrake is made of sponge!!! Think i'll get it MOT'...

Guys. ive got a D9 406 2.0 GLX 103k on the clock. very good body condition.. all the normal stuff. i'm just about to get a company car and i dont know what to do with the old 406.. it MOT is due in april and i dont want to go thru the cost of getting it back on the road! im willing to spend about £2...

simple i know but check the thermosat! may be over cooling.. if the ECU doesnt read normal temp after 30mins then it errors.

Smelly Screen washer
Guys... ive got a 406 2.0 GLX that has really smelly screen washer water.. ive filled it up loads and loasd of times but the smell is still there... it smells of rotton water.. any ideas how i can get rid of it or clean it out????? ive let it empty and dry.. ive put in loads and loads of nice smelli...

Well.. it was the thermostat in the end.. I’ve been doing so much digging that I’ve found this out.. The engine was being over cooled. i.e. the thermostat opened at the 1st hint of heat and the engine never reached running temp. the engine management system gives the systems about 30mins to reach te...

the car hasnt lost any water.. ive checked the level in the expansion tank. saying that... when i open it even when hot there isnt any pressure hiss when i open it. i think ill flush the system and give it a good clean. anyone recomend any cleaning agents? or shall i run on just water for a few days...
