Re: What temp should my 2.1td run at?
Had my 2.1TD now for 6 years and always ran at 85. Driven very gently 75/80. Pull a caravan up a mountain and 110 will show on gauge.

Re: Trip Computer? - Where?
I too have a 2.1td GLX and wondered the same 6 years ago when I bought it,
I'm afraid you are correct in that yes, that is all it does. Now if you had got the "Executive" model then the panel is used for other things.

The red L.E.D. is merely the test for the battery.
No idea on the "smaller" button that sets the deadlock. The only time that mine has failed to work is when there is a door open; one can still lock the car but the deadlock will not work.

Re: Glow plug testing 2.1td
Have had same problem when reaaaaaaly cold since buying 1998 2.1td back in Dec 2001. Either waited for the temp to warm up OR switched ignition on and when glow plugs light goes out, switch off and then straight back on again; this way the glow plugs start off warm and then are hotter when starter m...

With engine running, press "door locking" button on key. I believe that the car then "reads" to the key. Worth a try.

Re: Stuck Turbo Wastegate? 2.1 TD Diesel
I had same problem of revving up whilst ticking over. It occured probably every day. Everybody suggested fit new temp sensor. Fitted 2 weeks ago. Only done it a couple of times since. Improvement, but not sorted (yet).

Re: 2.1 TD revs up and down when idling
Yes, Tiny Tim, I do have a Haynes manual. It only shows 2 or 3 of the 7 or 8 sensors (assuming it's a sensor problem) Yes, darrenwall, I have air-con (climate) which I use (on auto) quite a lot. The problem persists regardless of air-con or not. I would have thought, jameslxdt , that it would have e...

2.1 TD revs up and down when idling
When idling at 850 rpm, revs suddenly rise to 1300 and then go back and forth from 1300 to 1500 for possibly half a minute before returning to normal 850. Happens every time car is used but not every time engine is idling. Peugeot dealer AND very reputable specialised motor electrical engineers have...
