£6 difference?
Try the mind boggling €832(£746) it costs to tax a 2.2HDi for a year in Ireland. Rip off Republic.

Re: Am I getting the correct MPG?
If you're not getting any kick until 3000rpm then your MAF sensor is on the blink. HDi's usually run out of poke at 3000rpm! That might explain the poor economy. If you thrash a HDi about the place you should still get mid 40's or thereabouts in MPG. Replace the MAF and you should be in a whole new ...

I had a similar story a couple of years back. Completely retrofitted a trip comp to a D9. Pick yourself up one of these and make a trip to the dealers to get it switched on in the BSI

Re: Peugeot 206 GLX issue
Dont think thats my issue. this car will rise all the way through the revs no issue when I ease the throttle, but when I plant the foot down at any point, it doesnt kick in. Like its getting too much fuel or something. **edit** Im starting to think it could be the map sensor. I'll try give that a cl...

Re: Peugeot 206 GLX issue
Update, I took the display apart and the fecker has a little chip that disintergrated in my hand from being overheated. I'll source one from the scrappy. The plugs were changed and I've the same issue. Im gonna put in a new fuel filter later and then change the oil. Im hoping that will give me a goo...

Id get all the pieces from a scrappy! If you're planning on keeping the car for a long time, it would be a worthwhile time investment.

Re: Another Wiper Blade ?
I know its always different strokes for different folks but I think that might look good in your head but I think it would totally ruin the look of the car as well as being distracting!!

Re: retro fit remote central locking
You have a D8 then. A D9 is the newer ones.
You should go to a scrappy and get new keys, barrells, ignition and the transponder behind the glovebox and set up a new system in your car. Better solution than an aftermarket job.

Re: Another new 406 owner
Thats the Irish Rapier model they brought out in 2002-2004. It shifted quite a few models here too. UK are in a league of their own with specs. No other country has the same high levels of spec that the UK has because it is such a large, competitive market. UK 406's have always been higher spec than...
