Re: Wheel Balancing
Thanks, these wheels are very similar to look at to the 15" ones on the other & previous exec's but withjout the centre cap/hole.
Trouble with living in the sticks then.
Will have to have a trip to town I suppose.

Wheel Balancing
Anybody else had trouble getting their wheels balanced? The 04 estate I've just aquIred came with 16" alloys(standard, I've checked) I've had new tyres fitted but can't find anyone to balance the wheels as there is no hole in the middle of them. All my previous 406's have had 15" alloys with large c...

Anyway, trying to find out what colour this one is, a blueish silverish colour (EYLC)

Re: Central locking fault on front doors
Hi guys, Mine has developed a fault. Locked it one day and instead of a single flash it flashed repeatedly as if unlocking. repeated tries resulted in it doing nothing at all. Tried to lock all the doors manually & found the O/S rear would not lock at all,so stripped the door out & found the rod fro...

Re: Front windscreen wipers stop after a minute (D9)
I have had this same problem twice with mine.
The first time it "fixed" itself after about a month.
The second time unplugging the BSI & cleaning the connections seems to have cured it.
Hope this helps.

model history?
Anyone know the model history for the D9 or what differences there are? Just got a 2002 110 HDI executive estate & already found quite a few differences from my 2000 HDI exec estate, but no handbook so trying to find out more. So far I've found changes to the clocks, display, auto lights, key&lockin...

Re: 406 HDI wipers run for ten seconds
I have tried the BSI reset - twice & checked all the fuses in both fuseboxes.
Everything else works correctly, even the side airbag light seems to be sorted now.
Tha bad connection idea sounds likely, but where?

Re: 406 HDI wipers run for ten seconds
I was waiting until I could get a couple of days off when I didn't need the car so I could have a look see. Then after a couple of hours driving in the heavy rain & moving the wiper switch every 10 seconds, to keep them working, suddenly they were back to working properly again.I mean rain sensing, ...

Re: 406 HDI wipers run for ten seconds
Great, thanks for that.
In the link it shows the BSI as being in the left footwell, but is it on the right in a rhd car?
Is it obvious orb is it disguised/hidden?
