Re: Rattling sound (Crank pulley)
Thanks for the info m8, mine is just starting and can only be heard when the engine is cold and you engage gear like when you pull away. Now having reread the haynes manual and thinking about what the peugeot dealer told me I wonder if they misunderstood what part it is, because it seems I just need...

Re: Rattling sound (Crank pulley)
I edited the title a little just in case future searches might find it helpful if the pulley is at fault.

Re: Rattling sound
Right I just checked with Peugeot main dealer and they have changed the part, it now comes as a set including timing pinion, camshaft gear, and camshaft seal and something else I didn't write down all for £111.17 I have the 2l petrol model. I checked in the Haynes manual and just replacing the pulle...

Rattling sound (Crank pulley)
Got a weird problem. When I start the car from cold I get a rattling noise seems to be coming from underneath drivers side under my feet, and is worse when the clutch is at biting point or when I am just pulling away. Now the funny thing is when the engine has warmed up the rattle will dissapear, I ...

Re: Airbag fault !!! Help!
I know on the Audi if the airbag light is on then the whole system is disabled. I have a copy of vag com so I can clear the fault code and reset the airbag light. Mine was the same whenever you moved the seat then the bloody thing would light up. It may be one of the wires by the connector that has ...

Re: Airbag fault !!! Help!
I had the same fault on my Audi and it was the connector under the seat, I took it apart and cleaned it with some electrical contact cleaner and it has been fine ever since, worth a try.

Re: Rear brakes
I have got trouble with mine also, after fitting new disc's, pads and shoes on the rear some weeks ago, I now have what sounds like a warped disc but it's hard to tell which side. Gonna have a look this weekend if it's not to cold. I probably should have put new calpiers on when I did the brakes fir...

Re: Driving to Mainland Europe - Headlights
Watch out for the French, I got a 100 euro on the spot fine last year because I was apparently speeding between Calais and Belgium. I didn't even see the f*ckers and I don't recon I was even speeding that much, but as I had been flashed a few times on that stretch and never heard anything, I didn't ...

Re: Software for OBD
The cables are on ebay but the problem comes when trying to find a decent bit of software to work with them, all the software tools are for cars that are OBD2 complient which are supposed to be petrol cars 2001 on, and diesel cars 2004 on. Mines a 2001 petrol but it still doesn't work f'ing Peugeot ...

Re: Software for OBD
Thanks for the link, but that software is for a pocket PC, I did try the alternative scantools software for the ELM23 cable earlier, but it didn't work, it does connect but only talks to the rev counter.
