Do the stock suspension strut/shock/spring heights differ between models?

For instance - would V6 coupe struts (the sportiest model) be shorter than diesel estate struts, and would they fit?

Has anyone got any lowering springs (-40mm) available for a 2.1TD Estate? Intrigued in trying it a bit lower with my new wheels (refurbed v6 alloys)

Does this only affect D9 406's?

My S reg 2.1TD has recently developed the same problem - it started when I switched the AC off and the heater blower jumped to max and is stuck there. Is the fix the same for the pre-face lift model or is it a different problem with the same symptom?

Ayup all Was there a 406 with a 6spd box? My 2.1TD is 5spd and on the motorway it really feels like it needs a 6th gear to knock the revs down - if not 406 , 306GTi6 box possibly? Is there a central point that i can jack at, and then place the axle stands at the regular jacking points on the sills?...
