Did you check power to the blower with the engine running?
Thanks for the info - that was it :) ....with the engine running, power was getting to the resistor and the new one has fixed the blower motor issue.

Got a Febi Bilstein one for £35.

Re: Blower motor

GingerMagic wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 8:05 am It's either the resistor pack, or the ignition barrel switch.
Both are around £20 on eBay.
Hi

No power going to the resistor pack so looks like the ignition barrel switch. Would you know the Peugeot part no. for that? There's a few different ones on eBay. Car is a D9 2.2.

Thanks

Blower motor

Hi Blower motor was sometimes cutting out, sometimes not coming on (briefly) and then working fine for quite a period of time. It's now not coming on (but I still get the fan display on the dash) I checked the fuse this runs off and it's a 40A engine bay fuse (no. 18) that is also used by the starte...

Re: need advoce maf sensor

If there is no fault lights on, I would suggest an injector cleaner and better quality diesel for a couple of tanks - and drive it hard for a while..... I'm happy to put it on diagnostics if you are local to Bournemouth. Not near Bournemouth but cheers anyway. Currently have the MAF disconnected ag...

Re: need advoce maf sensor

Did it make much difference to your fuel economy :?: Are you sure it was a 'new genuine V.D.O Siemens one ' Fuel economy looked to be the same. It came in a VDO box, with Continental tape sealing the box, there is also a hologram sticker on the box. The actual part itself has the same part number a...

Re: need advoce maf sensor

Fitted a new VDO MAF (to a 2.2 diesel) and whilst it's better, there's still an issue with acceleration / power output on steeper hills.

Still flat acceleration in places but not as flat as before...

Certainly not as good as the 'new car' :) type acceleration with the MAF plug disconnected.

Re: need advoce maf sensor

Thanks for that, took no time to remove now I knew where the tab was... Even better, the flat spots from the acceleration have gone and I now have the full engine power back with the MAF plug disconnected. No more going up hills at 20mph... didn't think unplugging the MAF would fix that but it has. ...

Re: need advoce maf sensor

Hi

Just to clarify, is the tab to push down the one I've circled in yellow? (Doesn't seem to be budging that much with a mini screwdriver) Also, does the entire grey plug come off? (i.e. one piece unit?)

Re: need advoce maf sensor

Thanks for the info. Looks like it will be one of those tiny screwdrivers required then, as the tab wouldn't budge.

Re: need advice maf sensor

OK thanks, I did have a look there - wasn't particularly obvious at first look.

Think I can see it now - almost in line with the upside down no. 4?

Re: need advice maf sensor

Having a look at replacing the MAF on my car, however it's been a while since I've disconnected the MAF electrical plug from the MAF sensor, and it's not coming off that easy. Just to confirm is it the two tabs in the lower centre of this pic to press down (screwdriver etc) then is it a separate hou...

Re: Air Doser

Thanks. The thing about the flat spot in acceleration is that it really only happens at lower speeds and going uphill. Through the day, the acceleration gets better than say first thing in the morning. With someone mentioning on one of the quoted threads above "Just for archives, I remedied the prob...

Re: Vibration turning left at low speeds

It turned out my Power Steering fluid level was just a bit below the min. Bought a 100cc oil syringe (£6) sucked up what was left in the PS reservoir, filled up with new fluid, started car and moved wheel full lock to full lock several times. Sucked up that fluid and re-filled with Castrol Transmax ...
