Re: New car dies in idle..

(Which it still does every morning :( ) It doesn`t die anymore at stoplights ect. and the gear cha...

New car dies in idle..

Hi peeps, I get idle jumps from 600-800rpm when standing and the car dies sometimes when I stop. Usually when I clutch the rpms drop to 600 then it dies. (oh btw did I mention I bought a 2nd 406? Same color and year too!) I did the usuall oil change, all filters, new sparkers. No difference. Could i...

The old ones are easy to remove.

BUT

Most aftermarket ones' magnets do not fit through the holes of the standard ones.

I rebuilt the parcel shelf so I could lift them higher.

There are aftermarket 6x9s that do fit. I think it was here on our forums under I.C.E

Cables you can leave if you want.

Looks fairly simple from my side. Most of these type of devices need: Plus Minus Radio Mute (Don't remember if the standard Phillips radio from Peugeot has this but it's not all that important) Main device gets the + and - from behind the radio (this part you'll have to splice a + and -), mute cable...

Been there done that.

I miss my M16. It was falling apart with 300000km+ when I got my first 406! :)

I like the red better than my silver/grey I had though.

There are several kits that will do 60/60 or 60/40.

I don't suggest 60mm because standard roads are just not built for that. 60mm is really more for race tracks

The feel of the new site is great. Alot faster too.

I miss the Board Navigation and User Block on the left side. Hope that gets added back?

Also not used to having my avatar on the right side of a post :)

Great going Nick, will keep testing!....
