Hi Ken,
Do you still have any of the keys for the car?
I'd be interested if the buttons on the remote are still intact.

Re: Anti roll bar bushes and fragile bolts!
It's good to know that i'm not alone in doing things like this!!!! I have both sides done (bar replacing the damaged bolt) and never actually had to remove filler / tank at all. Must be several different routes for the filler going into the tank Welly.(?) BTW Welly - I was looking at the Volvo V50 d...

Re: Anti roll bar bushes and fragile bolts!
Thanks for the replies lads. Bummer is right, although the passenger side is done and all without touching the tank!! The anti roll bar on my '6 runs along above and to the rear of the tank and i didn't have to touch the tank to remove the bracket - i must throw a couple of pics on when i get a chan...

Anti roll bar bushes and fragile bolts!
Hi all, I decided to replace the anti roll bar bushes yesterday and really wish i hadn't. Had a look and it seemed straight forward enough - passenger's side - 2 nuts to remove fore and aft of the bush - driver's side - one nut and one bolt holding the little braket. Passenger's side was ok apart fr...

Re: s[are wheel bay
Check the seals on your rear light clusters. They're known to leak and the water commonly collects in the spare wheel well. The issue is that over time, dirt and grit works its way between the rubber seals of the light clusters and the paint work, effectivly opening small channels for the water to ...

Re: Parcel shelf reverb :(
Hi mate, i had exactly the same probem. There's a little plastic prop holding the niddle of your parcel shelf up. There's supposed to be some felt type material on the bottom of it to stop the hard plastic reverberating against the metal, but this had came off. I stuck a small bit of sticky velcro (...
Re: LED 's

Re: How many 406's have you had?
Sorry for keeping you all in suspense....
So £4000 for the 407 against an 04 BMW 330d.
That equates to roughly £104 per week deprecation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feck.

Re: Insurance - where do you get yours from?
I have both cars insured with Abbey here in NI
£200 for the 406 in the Mrs' name and £300 for the 407 in my name. I'm 35 with 10+ years NCB - the Mrs has 2 years NCB, although they gave her an introductory NCB as she was on my policy for years.
Great company and a pleasure to deal with.

Re: Alloy Wheel Paint Code
HBC,
I used 1 can of each and it proved to be plenty. Several good coats everything and still loads left.
Let me know if any of the silver turns out well.
Cheers

Re: Alloy Wheel Paint Code
Thanks all!! The off the shelf cans ( ) were rubbish. HBC - if you manage to get a reasonable colour let me know - my alloys do look better, but they're just not bright enough! What about this!!!!!!!! Polycarbonate rear windows, no rear wiper, no air con, no stereo, no back seat, no sound in...

Re: How to make the interior look mint
Hi guys, I 've tried loads of different products over the years and have never really been completely satisfied. Some are too shiny, some too greasy....... Autosmart's G101 was recommended by a friend as a non acidic method for cleaning the alloys, however once i had bought it it is actually a gener...
