it will only have an oil feed/return and no coolant connections, this is no good for the petrol turbo as it runs much hotter behind the engine and requires the coolant to stop the oil from coking. o i guess my oil only t3/t4 roller bearing turbonetics turbo is no good then, or all the t3's that com...

why would you want to fit the gti6 be4/6 box to the sri turbo anyway? it is made from cadburys finest the gears are cut about half the depth of a normal BE box, add that combination to the increased torque of a tuned xu10j2te and your just sitting on a timebomb. the stock ml box on the sri turbo is ...

I think they are probably 60/72k or 3 years. To be honest just change them when the car doesn't start so well. considering they are only used on startup milage is not a good indicater, someone could do 40,000 mile s around town and start the car 40,000 times yet someone else could do 40,000 miles a...

for starters your engine is not a tu, tu engines are the pug small engines eg 1l>1.6l including the 1.6l 16v 106 gti/saxo vts engine. your engine is the XU10J4R (AKA RFV) this is found in the 306 xsi post 1996, xantias post 1996, and 406's post 1996, around 1999 they switched to the EW series of eng...

You MUST have variable valve timing and high revs to get more than 100BHP/litre. no you dont all vvt does is retain economy and run a mild cam at low rpm and a wild ass cam at high rpm. slap in a wild as hell cam (300/320 dur) solid lifter 12:1 comp ratio, headwork with larger valves (31mm inlet) w...

My fluid is 5 and a half years old now  Also is there any way to know for sure when the new stuff is coming through, or do you have to rely on the "that ...

well as a Volvo technician i will answer this, DOT 5.1 brake fluid is designed for extreme high temperature applications, usually where traction control is concerned, as most Volvo's have traction control it should be used, but i have never put it in any car at work, the only thing most people thin...

i dont think the GTi6 inlet manifold goes straight on, as it uses the same head as the S16 which has a slightly different casting on the inlet side of the head, but i know it can be fitted somehow as its been done many times before does not go straight on the s16 head needs a fair bit of port match...

nothing wrong with pug boxes, most pug box problems stem from worn selecters which cost £40 to replace

try a vauxhall/renault/rover boxes then come back and whinge about pug ones :)
