Re: 110 Hdi Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor circuit - P0190 fault
OK _ I understand there should be 5v in one line, and a good earth in one other. Third is signal.

110 Hdi Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor circuit - P0190 fault
Good morning all. Well, our 110Hdi engine management light came on, and the power drops out at 2500rpm - though it will get up to 75mph or so (in due course) and runs smoothly - maybe a little lumpy at idle. Car has 226k miles. High Pressure Fuel Pump was replaced at 181k miles - I don't know if the...

Re: New Mounts
Had the clutch replaced, and am a bit cross that the bottom mount was not done at the same time - with over 200k on the car it would have been a sensible idea. Still, will keep the garage in business, unless I bite the bullet and do it myself  Is there a handy guide in the forums please? Regar...

Re: How often should i change my oil?
I have changed mine (2.0 110) every 6000 since I got it at 78k miles. Just did the change today at 221k. Turbo is original.

Re: Engine cut out :(
So frustrating when garages fault-find at your expense by random replacement of parts. Or in this case: don't fault-find. When to stop pouring money in .... well Auto-trader have estate execs from £750 (284,000) to £3000 (82,000). Ignore money you have already put into the car - it is lost for ever....

Re: Clutch Change-How-To.
Hi all, Interested to read this long and informative post. I took the 'easy' way and got the local garage to change the clutch - but I have had the juddering issue on the new one. It is improving slowly - 3000 miles down the line - so I hope it is just an extended form of bedding in! Regards, Spring...

Re: Cracked rear bumper - repair options?
Thanks. Yes - looks good. I have read scare stories about incompatible plastics when welding - the two-pot filler seems to get round that problem. I think I will keep looking for a second hand bumper for a while before I try it though.

Re: clutch slipping HELP!!!
Thanks mjb - I will have a look for posts on mounts I think - at such a high mileage they probably have a right to be tired, and that would explain why selecting gears is sometimes difficult. Regards, Springnuts.

Re: Sat nav or not
The Pug sat nav on the 2000 Exec is terrible: "In 200 yards you are approaching a roundabout" I know anyway because of the road signs: what I want to know is which of the three lanes to choose from and (related question) which way am I going to turn ??!! It has not heard of loads of villages, has no...

Re: Aircon is it worth the hassle?
imo not worth the hassle. Over four years we replaced: radiator, pipes, compressor, more pipes. The chap who does it is very competent, not expensive, highly knowledgeable - he says the Pug system is just not very good. So I gave up on it at that stage; it was accounting for more than half the annua...

Re: Please identify this warning light
We got low water - just gradual leakage over the miles I think, which is not surprising since I have never checked the level in 130,000 miles. I have made a note to check regularly, every 100,000.

Cracked rear bumper - repair options?
Hi all, I managed to crack the rear bumper on our green 2000 Exec. :( No material lost, just damage on the o/s corner. I have read of bumpers being welded with a soldering iron, using some material pared from somewhere on the bumper where it won't show as the "welding rod". Would mean removing the b...
