Replaced the sensor (got from CAF), took 2 seconds and works perfectly.

Just 2.0 16v.

Its worth noting that the fans seem to come in when it would be around 100degrees so that all seems to be working. Just the gauge.

Hi all, Just started using my 406 again after 7 months (been using a mondeo) and have got everything running except for one thing. Its the first and last time im taking the car to that garage. Tried to tell me i needed a whole new exhaust and 2 front tyres (had them done last month!!!). I took it to them as it has a knocking noise over small bumps at low speed. I assume its the fronts (although the back steps out round corners....
