Re: CAMBELT

What I,ve done in the past XR4x4 (heavy) is to put the body up on blocks just behind the front wheel wells .Then get an old vertical lift car jack ,old Skoda ones are great and fix the base to the centre of a 4by4 beam. The beam then fits across the two front wings over the engine.Put mats underneath...

Re: ENGINE MANAGMENT SITE

Come on compared to getting an insurance quote it's a doddle.Carbs are much more complicated , try getting them right from scratch.Time to look at this lap top approach site ,Thanks!

Re: SRI TURBE OR NOT TURBE

Only way I could get more bottom end pull with this engine is with softer cams +remap .Lowering the comp and sticking a blower on as well would be better , I'll have to stick with playing tunes on the box as the missus wont like me taking it to bits.Got me sly eye out for a 3ltr coup.

It's a 16 valve and a bit gutless lowdown ,well compared to my old 2ltr pinto Sierra Estate.

You can't beat being pinned to the seats by a rear wheeler.Old Beemers are a good buy and old Cossies ablast if like throwing money about.
