Re: 2.0 8v RHY HDi engine questions
Er yes, although I wouldn't like to say this happens 100% of the time, there's always the chance there'll be a bent valve or two but I guess this would depend on the speed of the engine when it goes. But in your experience of these engines, has it been quite frequent that its been the case? I have ...

2.0 8v RHY HDi engine questions
I've got a 306 but the engine is 99.99% the same. Its the 2.0 8v HDi RHY engine. I've been hearing some interesting things about this engine, not least its love of bottom pulleys dying, shoving the auxiliary belts in the way of the cambelt and then the obvious happens. But i've also been told that i...

Re: Immobiliser issues
I was wondering, seemed a good price for a none-runner that somebody couldn't be bothered to fix or take down the scrappies. Sounds like you're gonna turn a tidy little profit there, nice one. Shame about the Mitsubishi, tell you what, tie a Japanese flag around your head, yell "banzai!!" and drive...

Re: Immobiliser issues
Fuel pump relay was dead. Tell tale sign was that regardless of any potential immobiliser issues or ECU issues, the fuel pump should always prime the fuel rail, and that wasn't happening, replaced the fuel relay, and she roared into life!

Re: Immobiliser issues
Just a suggestion there is a remote ring that sits around the ignition barrel as you turn the key it reconises the code in the chip and allows ther car to start. Have heard of this before playing up. Im afriad a trip to the local steeler or an electrican with the right equipment to puug in and test...

Re: Immobiliser issues
I know the remotes can drop out of synch but I'm not sure about the immobilzer, although there have been a fair few problems I don't know of much that I can suggest. (Uless you want to hear about my two keys, one with a transponder and one without and the few days of fun before I realised which was...

Re: Immobiliser issues
No one? Impatient responses like that are a sure-fire way of encouraging people to ignore your post. The electrics in the D9 are completely different to that of the D8 so straight away your question is only going to be potentially answerable by half the members here If you're in that much of a hurr...
