hmm, i too have noticed tht the reception of the shorter antenna is not good, could we just swap with the longer older one by unscrewing the short one, is it a direct fit?

hey that intersting, my previous BSI had to be changed just because my #@$%#@$@$$ aircond would n't engage...perhaps i can resolder it and i have a spare..hehheehe..

mine's 2000 406D9 2.0SV Manual......much better NVH compared to the 407 (friend's) that i drove.... alas the handling of the 407 is so much better...

out of curiosity, how fast has anyone gone on their D9??
Mine's a manual and have done about 220km/h and was entering the red zone, though my speedo is rated for 260km/h max, i need an extra cog to get there...........

unplugged the VSS at the garage and checked its ok there,
the speedometer tested on the diagnostics is okay too.
its in between, looked at the ECU, looks fine to me...anywhere else to check...where else does the signal travel to??

engine oil, brake fluid, radiator coolant and tyres can't last everytime, hence, after every track day we change, except for tyres can probably last 2 times...

I dunno, but somehow after it being erratic, it died on me and was zero for a few days till yesterday, it flickered a bit... and its back to normal....
but after some miles of driving it went dead agian....

faulty alternator, hmmmm.,... could a loose ground somewhere cause something like this?? maybe...
matter of fact, i just changed the battery a day or two before this started happening but the connectors are real tight and nothing is loose there...

i have this problem too, now that you mentioned it, normally happens when the hdanbrake is up...

yes yes, it does but this was heavy... and if you plenty of jpnese wannabes along the track whose ego is bigger than their brains, i have no intention of spoiling my afternoon with crashing with another..... but its not fun when it pours, you can't see the bloody road ahead.... say how often do you ...

finally found the part in Singapore, cost about 100+ Euros...changed it and the gear shift is back to normal... i guess the heat or the weather down here contributed to the elongation of the 2 linkages by about a centimeter which led to a free play of more than 2 inches...shucks i dun understand the...
