Re: Rear Passenger side brake locking!
The garage have fixed it, as you said, the material came off the shoes. I could have easily fixed this myself but there's no way I would have got it over to my place and I'm happy it didn't happen on the motorway!

Re: Lower engine mount
sorted it out today, the OEM one was tight but i hammered it in with no major problems much better now, so much so in fact that i could tell that the crankshaft pulley was knackered, so i fitted a new one of them too. only trouble is now the belt is vibrating like a post i've seen on here before. so...

Re: Lower engine mount
I've just picked up the genuine part and measured it with my calipers, its 2mm smaller than the ebay part and the rubber is a fair bit softer too I've also got a small woodworking vice for £16 from machine mart, but i already have a record 34p that i could use if i needed to, i'm hoping with the gen...

Re: Lower engine mount
I botched together a home-made puller when I replaced my coupé's bottom mount - not a process I'd ever want to repeat. So when it came to replacing the missus' mount I did some research on the freezer trick. Worked out that freezing from ambient temperature to -20c would only shrink the diameter by...

Re: Lower engine mount
The mount was on the car, I was running out of light and was half way through taking the driveshaft out, I'd drained the gearbox oil earlier but I called it a day when the balljoint spun so I refilled it, but I might make up a tool to press it in

Re: Lower engine mount
Oh yeah the flexi section What size socket did you use? I might be able to get some steel plate, I remember trying that before with my old 406 and ending up stripping the threads on the rod, I smacked it in with a lump hammer but it wasn't perfect. How did you set it all up? How much is the garage l...

Lower engine mount
I managed to remove my shot lower engine mount today but couldn't get the new one in, which is a pain cus i've replaced one of these before with no issue. The lower ball-joint nut just spun round and i lost patience so i'm gonna send it to the garage so they can press it in properly. Can i still dri...

I sold the BSI, ECU ( you need both together to be compatible ) door locks, ignition barrel, transponder, keys with PIN code and also the speedo clocks. BSI, ECU and clocks all hold info about the cars mileage, so ideally need to be a set to guarantee they correspond. I had the misfortune of overlo...
