Re: OUTSIDE TEMP

Mine did the same. As said it was the sensor in the mirror. Think it was about £13 and was easy to change. I like having the ice warning for when the temperature changes when on the move. But the beep can be a little annoying.

Re: 406 HDI lost all electrics

Thanks for the replies. The car had a sunroof leak last year. This was repaired but I expect the damp has got into the plug as shown in the thread. I will get the garage to check tomor and let you know how it goes.

Re: Key Remote & Windscreen Washers

Thanks I have tried to re-sync the key via the handbook by turning ignition on and holding button etc but this doesnt work. I have read that you may need to dis-connect the battery for one minute on some 406's... so what does the code card do then, is this just for dealers to code the car and key?

Re: Garage recommendation, clutch change

Is this a common problem with the 110 Hdi - I have one with 52k 02 model so a bit worried for the future etc. I sed to work for a motor factor and thery esed to sell similar kits for TDCI fords etc as I think they can suffer from the same problem.... Re: 406 110 hdi Timing Belt Schedule

Thanks for the welcome - I think 6 years or 96 k which ever comes first - so its therefore due on time, its a 1 owner with 48 k full history etc etc so no doubt about the mileage - i will get it done for peace of mind.
