Re: 2 litre CT Turbo questions

my impression on it was the turbo wasn't particularly noticeable You evidently never ran the car in limp-home mode or with the turbo otherwise non-functional. The car's barely able to move without it no perhaps not, mine just didnt feel very quick though, but in fairness i got a dog, i much prefer ...

Re: For sale: 1997 1.9 TD LHD, light accident damage

LHD cars do seem to go for a premium now, european prices are higher than ours, maybe because they can export them to the old Eastern Block countries, Africa etc where as no one really wants RHD ones because it's only us,Ireland,Aus,Japan and a few other countries that drive on the left.

Re: WANTED: Air Con Compressor and Auxiliary Belt

Hi, I have a spare compressor thats been sat in my garage for quite a while, I ordered it for a Xantia that I had at the time but its very likely to be the same as the 406 one, let me know if you're interested.

Re: Wanted Peugeot 406 saloon rear bumper

It's not dangerous at all and is still firmly attatched, it had already had a rear knock before so it's now looking worse, I just wanted to try and replace it at some point.I know what you mean about there being no green bumpers and then a load coming on E bay after youve bought a different colour, ...

Re: Veggy Oil in Diesel

I don't think it would make any difference upping the power while running Veg, it would be the same as running Diesel I would have thought.

Re: Veggy Oil in Diesel

Lucas pumps are a complete no go for Veg Oil and I believe that all 2.1s unfortunatly have them. I have a 1.9TD with a Bosch pump and have run it on a very high blend of Veg Oil/Diesel sincie I bought it a few months ago, at the moment probably about 80% SVO and 20% Diesel, when it starts getting co...

Re: 2 litre CT Turbo questions

I had a Xantia Activa a while ago, got it very cheap, changed a driveshaft and away I went, my impression on it was the turbo wasn't particularly noticeable but from when I read up on them I gather you can up the boost pretty easily giving around 200BHP.As a preferance looking back on it now as thie...

Hello new here, had a rear bumper question

Hello, new to the 406 forum, I've had many similar cars in the past though including Xantias, 405s and previously a 406HDI, currently got a 406 1.9TD and had a question about the rear bumpers on them, mine unfortunatly has suffered some damage and I was looking to replace it from a scrapyard or one ...
