I don't know. What makes you ask that? Are there compatibility issues?

Early 1.8 engine swap for a later 1.8...
Hey folks. I'm looking to get a bit more power out of my Pug. Nothing boy racer like. Just a bit more punch for general over taking and getting out of trouble quick. I think I have the XU7 JB engine. The 90bhp one. I was wondering of it is possible to swap it for the EW7 J4 engine? The 115bhp one. B...

Re: V6 into 1.8 LX?
I see what you’re saying but I was going to do an interior re-trim. All black and red leather. Some nice Pug alloys. Make the car look good! It does sound like a hell of a job though. Let me have a think on this.

Re: V6 into 1.8 LX?
No can do. The car belonged to my Dad. He passed away about 3 years ago and my Mom has said that she wants to keep the car as long as possible. It was my Dad's pride and joy. She knows that I know about cars and what ever I do to it my Dad would have approved of. I have almost free raign over it as ...

V6 into 1.8 LX?
Hey folks. I'm getting a bit bored with the bog standard power of the 51 plate 1.8 and have been considering adding a bit more oomph to it. I've looked at the normal stuff like air filters and exhausts and remaps but it all seems a bit limp to me. A mate suggested putting a v6 from the coupe into it...

Re: Can the Sagem ECU be remaped?
Does no one know the answer to this?
I assume the make of the ECU is Sagem coz it has Sagem stamped on it. I don't see another name on it. All the posts of people getting their 406 remaped and no one can answer this?

Can the Sagem ECU be remaped?
Hey folks.
I'm looking into a remap for my D9. 90bhp petrol.
From my research it seems that the Sagem ECU can be done. Am I right in assuming this? Also, what are the knock on effects? Economy, clutch wear etc, etc?
Any info would be great!
Thanks!

De-coking vs MAF. Where is the MAF?
Hey all. I wanted to de-coke my engine and I know that when doing this you need to inject the stuff down wind of the MAF. Now my problem is that I can't find the MAF in my Haynes. Is it part of the throttle body and if so, can I spray the stuff down past the throttle plate thing with a small tube? I...

Re: Rev glitch
The filter is fine. I gave it a full service about 3 months ago. I didn't do the fuel filter so that might be worth doing. The car is constantly driven and has been since it was bought. Fresh petrol all the time. Sorry, I made it sound like the car has been sitting in a garage for the last couple of...

Rev glitch
Hey people. I think I've got a problem but I'm not sure. I've only really started driving my 1.8 LX recently. Long story, don't ask. I'm used to my normal car which pulls away from standing very smoothly so like I said, I'm not sure if I have a problem. Basically I have to over rev the 406 to get it...

Radio and digital display. Gremlin in the system!
Hey folks, need some help here!!! Ok, I've had some electrical problems for a while on my D9. It started with the radio. For some reason it kept on forgetting the saved radio stations. I would push any button and it would either jump to a random station or go scanning through the frequencies. IT end...
Re: New guy.
What's a D9? Is that the engine or some such?
Re: New guy.
I believe the proper response to your question is D'oh! It's 2001 so that makes it a 51 plate? The one thing I can't get my head around is reg plates. I just don't know how to read them. The first letter is the year but sometimes it's the last letter but after 2000 or 2001 it's numbers... What? :rol...
