Just wanted to let you know that I did the first service on my GTX today and tried your method of resetting the service indicator.

I'm happy to say it worked and set itself back to 18,750.

Thanks very much for the tip, Dai, you were dead right! I took out the offside stoplight bulb and one of the stanchions for the stoplight filament had collapsed and was touching the rear light stanchion!
